Any text question will automatically be recorded.
Checking the "transcribe voice responses" box on the create and edit survey screens will enable transcription for each text question. Unchecking the box will disable transcription.

Because a computer program transcribes the voice responses, accuracy varies depending on a variety of factors including background noise, caller accent and word choice. We suggest you experiment with the transcription feature before enabling it on a production survey to make sure it meets your expectations.

Cognotix will record up to 55 seconds of the caller's voice. After 55 seconds, the caller will hear a beep, and the survey will move on to the next question or terminate if there is not another question. Recording will also stop after five seconds of silence or if the caller presses the pound (#) button.
